Costa Almeria
There are many advantages to buying property in Costa Almería compared to other areas of Spain. As the driest, hottest and sunniest corner of Europe, Almería’s climate makes it an ideal place to live all year round.
Visitors to the area are enchanted by the diverse landscape, architecture, culture, gastronomy and quality of life.
Although the province’s towns and cities provide many of the amenities on offer in other areas on Spain’s coastline, for example the Costa
del Sol and Costa Blanca, the area is much less developed and not as overcrowded with tourists, even during the summer months.
Land prices on Costa Almería are still reasonable, especially when compared to the larger, more well-known Costas, and this allows you the opportunity to achieve more with your money. Coastal property is now beginning to attract premium prices, however the property development being carried out in this area is of the highest quality. As you move inland, much of the land is seemingly untouched.
Location
The province of Almería is situated in the south east of the Spanish peninsula and borders

Fiestas
The Spanish are a nation who love to enjoy themselves! There are so many fiestas throughout Spain, that even if you could attend more than one a day you would not be able to visit them all in a lifetime. Some of the fiestas in Costa Almería are listed below:
The "Fiestas de Moros Y Cristianos" takes place on the weekend closest to June 10 and is the most popular fiesta throughout the Levante region. In Mojácar this festival commences on the Friday and continues uninterrupted until the final parade on the Sunday evening.
“San Juan” is a celebration to welcome the summer and takes place throughout Spain during the shortest night of the year (approximately June 24). In Mojácar you will find bonfires, fireworks and music down on the beach. According to tradition, if people jump three times over a bonfire on San Juan’s night, they will be cleansed and purified and their problems burned away.
The “Feria de la Virgen del Mar” takes place during the last two weeks of August in Almería. Marquees are erected and the streets are filled with music, dancing, processions, parades and bull running.
Each local town & village celebrates its own fiesta at various times during the year, including San Augustín in Mojácar in August, San Francisco de Asís in Turre in October, San Roque & San Roquillo in Sorbas in August and many others.
